Outlook Express 6 Not responding. "Pop3 server has not responded in 60 seconds. Would you like to wait?"
My boss added McAfee Spamkiller to our outlook Express 6. Soon after, we were no longer able to receive e-mails. It runs on a POP3 server, and I can still access all info in our webmail. I uninstalled McAfee and now Outlook isn't connecting properly. I still have a mcAfee firewall up. When I open the program, it says it's authorizing and every 60 seconds a message comes up saying " Your POP3 serverhas not responded in 60 seconds. Woud you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond?.What do I do?1 person needs an answerI do too

Do you have the permission to remove McAfee entirely? Next to Norton, it is the second least compatible AV program you can possibly use with any Windows e-mail client.McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool three-step fixhttp://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100507 There are free programs that are compatible with Outlook Express. Avast is good, but just an AV program. MSE is very good and is an Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware & Anti-Malware program all in one and not a resource hog like McAfee.Microsoft Security Essentialshttp://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspxBruce HagenMS-MVP Oct. 1, 2004 ~ Sept. 30, 2010Imperial Beach, CA
